España se ha convertido en uno de los primeros países en los que Amazon ha puesto en marcha suprograma de test masivos para garantizar la protección de sus empleados, colaboradores y clientes frente al Covid-19.
Las primeras pruebas han empezado a realizarse ya en las instalaciones de la Comunidad de Madrid y Cataluña, aunque se extenderán posteriormente a todos sus centros. El objetivo es detectar pacientes asintomáticos, para cortar la cadena de contagios, dentro y fuera del trabajo.
Los trabajadores de primera línea de su red podrán realizarse regularmente el test de forma voluntaria y gratuita. Esto se complementará con las medidas de distanciamiento social, equipos de protección personal, limpieza, desinfección y controles de temperatura que la multinacional lleva aplicando desde el primer trimestre de 2020.
En total, ha invertido más de 11.500 millones de dólares en iniciativas dirigidas a proteger a sus empleados y clientes frente al coronavirus en sus centros de todo el mundo.
